Evidence Platform Reference Group: Call for Members

The INEE Evidence Platform aims to create shared infrastructure and a “go-to” place for EiE evidence. This shared infrastructure will be openly, rigorously, and systematically developed into an evidence platform to support INEE members and other relevant stakeholders in EiE. The evidence platform will be based on a systematic search of available EiE evidence using a collaboratively developed and tested methodology created through this INEE reference group. 

The Evidence Platform, will be hosted on INEE's website, and will aim to:

• Provide an interactive space for stakeholders to view prominent evidence gaps in EiE through the development of a living sector-wide evidence gap map
• Allow INEE members, and relevant stakeholders, to interact with existing and emerging evidence, predominantly from research undertaken by academics and practitioners.
• Provide a space for stakeholders to interact, report further gaps, and/or upload new research.

How can I join the INEE Evidence Platform Reference Group? 

Those interested in joining are requested to complete this expression of interest form by 18 December 2024. Completing this form does not automatically guarantee membership.

Who can apply?

Any INEE member with experience and expertise in EiE evidence OR evidence review, such as systematic review or evidence gap mapping, in education more broadly. Members with fluency in non-English languages are desirable.
 

How will members be selected?

Due to the technical nature of work being conducted with and through the reference group, member selection will be based both on individual qualifications - expertise, and experience needed to carry out the work of the reference group - and on the overall composition of the network space, including geographic and linguistic representation, type of EiE context, operational reach (local, national, regional), areas of expertise, gender balance, and more. The reference group will strive to be representative and inclusive of crisis-affected populations as well as a diversity of epistemological and methodological positions. Therefore, selection may reflect the need to balance the composition of the group.
 

Can organizations apply?

Yes. Applications can be made by organizations, but they should designate a primary representative who is expected to fulfill the obligations of membership. Designating an alternate for when the primary member is unavailable is optional. 
 

What is expected of reference group members?

• A commitment of 4-8 hours each month for reference group activities 
• Regularly attend reference group meetings
